The click that cost thousands of euros (or more)
A true story that could happen to anyone.

Once upon a time, there was an SME that managed everything in the cloud: billing, communication, storage. Until one day, an employee received an email from a "trusted" supplier. They downloaded a file, entered their credentials, and, without realizing it, handed over the keys of the business to a cybercriminal.
Within hours, the attackers accessed the real account, changed the bank account numbers on invoices, and sent fake emails to clients.
Result: financial losses and a blow to the reputation that took a lot to reverse. This type of attack —identity theft or phishing— is one of the most common and effective. You don't have to be careless: just a second of misplaced trust is enough.
How to avoid a "click" costing you dearly
Beware of urgency: if an email demands haste, breathe and verify.
Check the origin: review the sender's domain and the links.
Multi-factor authentication (MFA): even if they steal the password, they can't get in without the second factor.
Payment policy: validate changes to bank accounts through an alternative channel.
Continuous training: the best antivirus remains a team that knows how to identify "the strange."
Golden rule: if something seems urgent, expensive, or too easy, it probably doesn't come from the Tax Agency.
At Cydoo, we train your team to recognize threats and act in seconds if something happens. Cyber-carefree: we watch while you take care of the business.
